Experience
I attended Trinity University where I earned a BA in History, and the University of Phoenix where I earned a MA in Secondary Education. I also minored in Latin American Studies. After I graduated from school, I gained experience working in marketing and ad sales for tv and radio. I eventually earned the status of Vice President of Advertising for a large Hispanic ad agency located in San Antonio. Organization is one of my strong suits, and in addition to helping students with study skills and organization, I tutor several subjects including English, reading skills, test prep, writing, geography, and World and U.S. History. I especially love World History, and in particular, the Middle Ages. I've taught in both Arizona and Texas and my specialty is aiding students who struggle with English and History. In my opinion everyone learns better when they have a mentor that can recognize their talent and also the way they learn best. I think education is the groundwork for a successful life. It is my hope that every student reaches their goals, never gives up, and follows their dreams. When I'm not teaching I enjoy the outdoors where I run, hike, do yoga, and participate in sports like soccer, ice hockey, and football.
